How to set forgot password?

How to set forgot password for window based application? Without sending mail at email-id if user has forgot his mail then what will be the alternative solution?

Thanks for ur reply but it wont b secure. Any one who knows other user's id can just by clicking in forgot paasword set new password n use it. Do you have more secure solution?
