How to set Identity in sql

Question

I want to set identity by query . . in my table column sno i am set all ready set identity to yes but i want to set id column as a identity in a query how'z the possible suggest me .

then u have to first drop sno column and then add new column id with identity property like Alter Table student Drop column [sno] Alter Table student Add id int identity(11)

yeh i want to remove sno column identity and then set column id with identity

you want to remove sno column identity property and want new column id with identity? You can not remove Identity propery of a column with out droping it.

try this CREATE TABLE student ( [sno] [int] IDENTITY(11) NOT NULL )
