How to show an ArrayList in a RichTextBox

I got stuck on something that looks quite simple. I am creating a simple print out. I have collected all my lines in an ArrayList. Now I want to display this arrayList on a form where I have created a RichTextBox item, but I don' t know how to get the linefeeds right. Something like: for (int i=0; i

Technically string builder is doing the same thing as the copyto method. Remember Strings are immutable. When a string is created it has a fixed length--think of it as a constant. To add or remove characters leads to the creation of a new string in memory--the one string cannot be manipulated by itself. To alleviate this .NET has certain methods that we as developers have been trained to use (i.e. string.Concat string.Format and StringBuilder). This is the same method any VBA developer had to learn when dealing with strings--build a collection then put the string together into one string. I can only assume that the framework is optimized to build a collection of strings for best performance. StringBuilder is typically much faster than string manipulation but since you're allocating the exact number of character for the string your option might be faster. It'd be interesting to see a test between the two.
