how to show in all browser that pop up is active or not

hi i want to show in all browser that ur popup is active or inactive if it is inactive then how to make active by jquery

Declare a javascript global variable  set the value when pop up is opened and closed .. Compare this value whether it is opened or closed .if closed again use window.open to open it.
