how to show inserted id in db from to sw in msg in asp.net

Hi frnds I interserted data on db when I click on submit button. Now I want which data is inserted in db that I'd want to on display on message when I click on submit button. Msg should be like I'd 101/2017 inserted successfully

Are you using procedure to insert record? If yes then add a out parameter in the procedure and get the @@identity value and return that value. If you are not using procedure get the max id inserted using select satement and show it in the screen. Get the datetime.now in c# and combine it with the value u got from DB (ID) and then show it in the screen.
