How to store an xml file in the Protected Storage?

Question

Using C# how can you store an xml file in the protected storage? How can you retrieve and open that file from protected storage? Can anyone point me to a sample of code doing this? Thanks in Advance.

I can propose another technique but I don't know if it suites your needs you can always use the DACL Directory Access Control List this technique is used within XP and NT to restrict users and or groups permissions by the object or file owner using System.Security.AccessControl; using System.Security.Policy; using System.Security.Principal; using System.IO; DirectorySecurity ds = new DirectorySecurity(); ds.AddAccessRule(new FileSystemAccessRule(DirectoryName FileSystemRights.Read AccessControlType.Allow)); Directory.CreateDirectory(@[path]\DirectoryName ds); try to create some file within the Directory name and will not be able because you gave your self the right to only read

Protected Storage is a service to the host platform in which the trusted platform module helps storing confidential data on unprotected Storage media. A protected storage mechanism allows users to store their data securely on an untrusted environment by using a trusted platform module which is a cryptographic hardware module that is permanently embedded in a computer. Protected Storage is a small memory space managed by the system security component and usable by applications. Windows XP also use this protected storage to store confidential data. The above sayings are what I found about Protected Storage. Bechir Bejaoui  thanks for your reply. If i could not find a way using Protected Storage I will go for Isolated Storage. And of course I have a doubt whether this Protected Storage is a really existing one or another name given to some kind of an Isolated storage.
