i want textbox particularly not accept apostroph(name's) example: how to validate textbox me typed fruit's particularly ' not saved databse.

The above might work for web coding but not for a windows application. I'm sure it can be done by checking the keydown event but I think that may impact performance. If you are saving the data then you can do what I do instead of not accepting it Just don't save it. So that it looks right when I redisplay it I replace ' with `. but if you don't care about that you can just remove the '. String savefield = textbox.Text.Replace('`); or String savefield = textbox.Text.Replace(');
