How to Trace the actual error line code

dear all  I am involving into an issue i have a method of submit records into the database i am getting of an error that err Error converting data type varchar to bigint. I am debugging the application but i am getting error ExecuteNonQuery i want to find the actual line from where that error comes in please responds

Hello Danish Check the place where you have declared a variable in which value will be passed to save in the DB I think you have passed it's datatype as bigint and you are providing it a string value that's why you are getting this error. Put a debugger on the button click and then go f10 if in between any function is called then use f11 you will get error when value will be assigned to a variable.

Hi This issue you need to check in query analyser only. Else do one thing start sql profiler while executing the page. This will record the query which gets executed at the sql end. Hope this helps you
