how to transfer data from one page gridview to another page gridview

Question

hi iam using asp.net with c#
in my gridview control 1st column is checkbox,2nd column is product name, 3rd column is price, 4th column is quantity
5th column is total, when user selects any no of checkbox that selected row data i have to take it to another page in which
there is also an another gridview i have show the data from previous page
can you provide me a suitable example which helps me

You probabluy want to do that in the client and if so you can't use ASP for it.

hi... i think you should use the querystring becoz session data expired in specific time of period and becoz in next page you want to display data based on previous page... suppose if you transfer from first.aspx to next.aspx then in current page create button and its click event write as Response.Redirect(next.aspx?mydate= + txt.Text); (here txt.Text is the data you want to transfer ) then in next page where you want to display data in gridview Set the gridview's Select parameter as SelectCommand=ur select command with where condition>  Type=Int32 QueryStringField=mydate />

yes u can use session.. just make session with id of that product... and call that session the on anypage then u can have any detail regarding that product... to create session use this syntax Session[nameofsession]=urcontrol.text; and to call session use just retrive it in string i mean String abc=Session[nameofsession].tostring();

you can use session variables to pass the data of the selected rowin the next page on page load event retrieve the data from session variables and bind it the grid
