How to Use date variable inside sql query

Question

How to use datetime variable inside sql query in windows form application. When i am writing date>'11/12/207' it works fine.but when i use parameter like date>+new_date+ it does not work.

Just you need to use NOT BETWEEN like SELECT * FROM TableName WHERE ColumnName NOT BETWEEN @startDate and @endDate Change your tablename and column name as required. Hence all required procedure should be same.

You have to frame the date string as above format from the Datetime input field. After that you can concatenate your query with the created date string. Better to use strored procedure instead of this dynamic query.

I am making a hotel reservation system in windows form.User book hotel room by selecting hotel id and by giving a check in check out date.Now i want to retreive the room id's from tblRoom those are not in tblReservation(i mean the rooms that are not booked yet) and also the room id's those are in tblReservation but not between the check incheck out date.can you help me?
