Using resource file you can embed the files like Images Sounds etc as part of your binary. It means that you no need to worry about packaging the such files (say .jpg .wav) and deciding the location of those files in the deploying pc. The disadvantage is that binary file(.exe.dll etc) size increases. You can see a example here
