how to use session state

i know the session state but don't know how to use session in real project i wanted that login user details show on the all pages during his/her session  wahted to set the session time and this time also display on pages .

Dear both thanks for your help but all link are not working  i m attaching the my code with data query page please check it and help me out of this  i just want that as user press the start test button its time will be start and display on the pages
