How to validate log in using my database....

i have two formsthe LOG IN and UPDATEhow to make validation in my log in that after logging ini can switch to UPDATE form? tnx in advance....

i have a LOGin form with two command buttons. the LOG_IN and SIGN_UP.how to switch to my 2nd form which is my REGISTER FORM when i click SIGN_UP button and on the same FORM i can UPDATE my records... Also how to validate my LOG_IN button on my database to test if already registered or not.... tnx a lot HIRENDRA for ur reply...

hello felix please explain more.... i think you want to say that on logIn form user input userid or password after that application check correct information and than open update form ..right? thanks
