what problem you are getting ? have you import jquery.validate.min.js?

ya am using same thing like ... and ClientIDMode=Static

Use ClientIDMode=Static inside the control and then use the id of the control. Actually when the control is place inside content page the id and name of the control has been change while rendering the page in browser. so your validation is not working I think. I face the same error once. check the page source of your page in browser for more details.
