How to write Generic code for database connection

Hi ALL I want to know how to write a single generic code to connect to different databases like SQLserver or Oracle. thanks.

Hi Arun I mean that if sqlserver database is used today after some time another data base may be used i do not want to write the code again i want to make the generic code for this purpose. thanks.
