How we check availability of Username using Ajax

I talk when user want to sign up and write username  i want when he write username and click on button for checking availability of username program tells yes username is available or not using ajaxjson etc

I have a name field Name: and a button Now i want when i click on button check availability  program check all names and tell name is already exist or not  through ajax  i used entity framework. What can i do ?
