HTML ‘alt’ Attribute

Above web page saying about "alt" attribute of the html. I assume that it can produce sound. But this is not producing any sound. How can it be made possible?

According to the article you need a 'screen reader'. Do you have one? Microsoft's Narrator does not seem to do the trick so you might have to have a look around to find a good one. I don't have experience with this but maybe this might get you on the way to find one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_reader

'alt' tag means - Specifies an alternative text for an image - Attribute provide additional information about an element like Image - The filename of the source ( src ) and the size of the image ( width and height ) are all provided as attributes : - Declaring a language is important for accessibility applications like screen readers and search engines - its very use full to Search Engine and SEO for listing image
