This error occurs due to many reasons, possible reasons are here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/942055/-http-error-500.19-error-when-you-open-an-iis-7.0-webpage Simply check application has permission to read the directory. https://www.iis.net/learn/manage/configuring-security/application-pool-identities or make sure that ASP.NET is installed in your machine.
