i want to calculate timespan between two columns

Question

i want to substract time(i.e. in_time and out_time) present in two columns of database table which is to be displayed in table format in the web page.....please suggest some sql query and c# code

Hi If you want a C# code to get this done here it an example for the same. DateTime startTime = Convert . ToDateTime ( 6:00 AM ); DateTime endtime = Convert . ToDateTime ( 4:00 PM ); TimeSpan duration = startTime - endtime ; Hope this helped.

Hi you want time difference between in and out time!!so you could use TimeDIFF function in sql server like this SELECT TIMEDIFF(Time(in_time) Time(out_time)) from tbl_name or if you difference in date use DATEDIFF function
