Since the objective it just to copy data from one app into another, instead of writing the data from source app into text file, save it in an xml file and read from the target application. The scnario mentioned above can be imporved based on more specification of the requirement like the frequency of such opertation, data size to be copied. If the copy operation is too frequent, even a though to create a service for the same can be given a thought.

You can also send the data to the clipboard, then have the other application get the data from the clipboard. Also, you can look into using the "System.Runtime.Remoting" namespace. Hope this helps!

I'm sure there's a faster and better way, but one easy way is to save to a text file or binary file the information you need, then read it from the other app.
