I want to learn C# any good books to help?

Hello I want to learn C# as I would like to start a career in this field. I have seen this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764578472/qid=1145237303/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/202-9000623-7784630 Would this be a good starting point? I have some knowledge of Java from my University years. I also have the FREE version of Visual Basic 2005 from the Microsoft website. Is this software enough to cover C#? Thanks Rash

I have a copy of that book and it looks like a pretty good start. You should download the free copy of Visual C# Express 2005 from the Microsoft website. The Express edition doesn't have all the features of the full studio version and the IDE is slightly different but it's free so you can't complain.
