i want to start programming but am confused with the technology. please i need advice about type of programming language .which is better for beginners C# or Java thank you in advance

It depends on your interest and your familiarity with that language. Also understand that both are versatile as well as provide equal opportunities in the market. C# from Microsoft and Java from Oracle. If you came from C/C++ background means then you can find both as easy one.
