i want to validate my checkbox by using javascript

hi all i want to validate my checkbox by using javascript in my aspx page. my requirement is 1) my textbox should not allow starting letter as numeric and it should not allow space in starting position.... thanks in advance prabhu.

hi Prabhu Why do u use javascript for that purpose.U can simply validate by adding validation fields. if u want to require javascript use the following function function check() { /* here txt is the id of the TextBox */ var val=document.getElementById('txt').value var patern=/^[\s+\d+]/ if(patern.test(val)) alert('You have Entered an invalid text'); else alert('valid'); } for getting the value of check box inside the script use the dom expression document.getElementById('chkBox').value here chkBox is the id of checkbox
