ideal file size of .cs file

Question

Hello,

Is there any maximum limit of .cs file in terms of no of lines or size? If it is What is that limit?
I referred on web and learn that there is know limit as such, if true what is the good practise to keep file size? Will there any performance impact of heavy file size.
