Hi All,
I'm a beginner in C# and have started getting the basics down now.  I am starting my first proper pet project but have no idea what??  I've read a few ideas but most seem a bit boring (I know I shouldn't be picky, but I need something that'll keep me interested!!).
Any Ideas guys?
I want something that is fairly easy, but also challenging.  Somthing that will help me learn and apply what I already know.
I look forward to hearing your ideas & sugestions.
thanks
Paul

Well .. if you like your "pet project" to be successful, build something you love to do. Don't build it just because you want to make money from it. Build it just because you want to do it. It should be like your "first cup of tea" in the morning that you need and think about as soon as your day starts.
My 2 cents.

I assume that the UK has places called libraries where they have old-fashioned books. They usually have sample code in them and you can look there for ideas. I know that books are things that your parents and grandparents use and you probably think they are archaic, but they can be useful.

You can find some in the Repository of Programming Projects maintained by Francis Glassborow. There are other sites like that but I don't have them bookmarked in my current bookmarks.

The NIST's Dictionary of Algorithms and Data Structures might be of use.
