IIS

Question

When user request for an application. Firstly IIS checks the .aspx extension.
I have one doubt. If IIS only accepts .aspx or any other extension. for suppose i want .santosh extension ie., instead of one.aspx IIS should accept one.santosh. Is it possible.

Hi Mahesh It invoked some thoughts and I just verified this with the application by changing the extension to .abcd through http handler and it worked fine. Eg: http://localhost:32971/certificates/100.abcd R egarding the MIME I did a quick check and found that extensions registered as MIME are considered static files on the server. So I believe Sreekanth wanted some custom extensions and it is possible through handlers. Both of you please correct me if I understood it wrongly. Regards Jean Paul
