ILDASM and CLL in C#

Hi Friends.... I know when we want to see the assembly then we use ILDASM cll.exe . I want to know what is the meaning of ILDASM and CLL ? Please explain anyone ? Thanks.....

'ildasm' means the intermediate language disassembler. When applied to a .NET assembly it shows the intermediate language (IL) and metadata contained in the assembly. I would imagine cll.exe is some .NET executable you have - it's not a standard .NET utility to my knowledge.

Hi Vineet LDASM is a tool provided in C# to view and read the assembly content in manifest view. This tool is supplied along with the Visual Studio .NET you are using. It is also available along with .NET SDK. To access this tool you have to run the ildasm.exe available in C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\ \bin. For more clarity consider a simple example and see how the assembly content related to the example can be viewed.
