Image transfering from 1 Rich Text Box to another in c#.net

Question

Hi all I had earlier posted a thread regarding this..' can any one help me by showing me some sample codes and explain how to send an image ( a non bitmap mostly) from one rich text box to another in a winform in .net using c# . thanx in advance .net nublet#

Hi Mamta Sorry for the delay but I actually tried this by changing the format into ' rtf ' it only helps me to paste Bitmap formats where as I was looking for something of the gif or png or jpg formats.... I was developing an app more like a chat app bt broadcasting style..!!! like a notice board..!!! so was thinkin abt transfering jpgs N gifs!!! can u suggest nething 4 dat ...... thanx in advance Sarin

Hi sarin Actually the site is being migrated to new servers that's why all these problems regarding posts and accounts are occuring. Never mind it will be fine soon this is just temporary. For your problem here's one solution I tried. I used both the richtextboxes in the same form. You can now modify the code to make it for two different forms. I am assuming that a button Copy will cause the image transfer to take place. So here's the code for the button event. private void btnCopy_Click(object sender EventArgs e) { this.richTextBox1.SelectAll(); if (this.richTextBox1.SelectionType == RichTextBoxSelectionTypes.Object) { richTextBox1.Copy(); DataFormats.Format myFormat = DataFormats.GetFormat(DataFormats.Bitmap); this.richTextBox2.Paste(myFormat); } } Hope this help you. -Mamta
