Images load in faster way

Question

I have some images in a image folder and the image path declared in a database a particular column of a UserInfo Table. when i fetch the images to show it took time to show in gridview.

@aiswarjya sarengi Do you have large amount of records to load in gridview? If yes then are you directly binding dataset in gridview? You have to use GetThumbnailImage method in the Image class: Image image = Image.FromFile(fileName); Image thumb = image.GetThumbnailImage(120 120 ()=> false  IntPtr.Zero); thumb.Save(Path.ChangeExtension(fileName thumb )); Ref: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2808887/create-thumbnail-image

As a developer you have a full control over how the user uploads the file. You can even restrict the image extension if you'd like. There are many articles that demonstrate about file compressing. Just do a bit of search at google.

There might be two possible reasons : If you have large number of records then it might take time to load the page.  If images are high defn then compress them or create a thumbnail and load that thumbnail likewise .

Few tips: Compress your image size You could also crop them to a smaller size then you can just load the actual image when clicking on it Limit the data to be displayed in GridView as this can really impact the page load performance Apply custom paging in your GridView when necessary Check your code and see if there's anything in there that causes your page to load slow
