Images not visible in Excel Online

Question

Hi,

 

I have an excel which i uploaded on sharepoint 2013. It has images and Text boxes, but when I open it with Sharepoint excel services I get an error that : 

 

We cannot show these features in browser. Shapes or other objects.

 

I saved a copy to edit and thought I could add image by editing in excel online, but Under insert. I couldnot find option to insert images.

 

I tried searching online but couldn't find answer.

 

when I edit with Excel, I can see my images.

You could change the setting on the Document Library to open the files in the client application instead of opening via the web app. Go to Library Settings>Advanced Settings>Change the 'Opening Documents in the Browser' to "Open in the client application".
