Try like this: try { K1 objK1 = new K1(); objK1.K1_Method = new l1[5]; // Initialize the array objK1.K1_Method[0].Cd = ((InstCode)Enum.Parse( typeof (InstCode) D )); } catch (Exception ex) { } Note: Here array is of 5 instances you need to change as per your need.
