Insert and Update in single mysql query

Hello I like to know that shall we insert and update the information in to two different tables in MySQL using single query in PHP please give one example please help awaiting for your valuable reply

thanks for reply sir. please give me one example I have two tables one inventory and second inventorymast in inventory I am updating the values and in inventory mast I like to insert the upadated values form inventory when I am filling up the form. awiting your valuable reply
