Get the byte contents and send byte[]. Also you should save the image type to convert it back to. Use File.ReadAllBytes method to convert image to byte array. When converting back first get the byte array in a memory stream usingnew MemoryStream(ByteArray) and then convert it to image using Image.FromStream.
