If it's just 1 item then you can simply do this: Textbox1.Text = Listbox1.SelectedItem.Text; If your ListBox selection mode is set to multiple then you could try this: protected void lstSelection_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender EventArgs e){ var selectedItems = (from index in this.lstSelection.GetSelectedIndices() select this.lstSelection.Items[index].Value); TextBox1.Text = String.Join( selectedItems); }
