Insert summary field in the crystal report footer

Question

Hello I tried to insert summary field in my crystal report footer but in the combo there isn't sum only count option. Does anybody know what could be the problem? And also if I make a formula field and insert it in the report footer when running it the sum field doesn't display at the bottom of the report. Does anybody have an idea what could be the problem? Thanks

Hi Nel  1)Field may of type Text or Memo that's why summary option doesnot showing sum in combo. 2)If it text/memo field u have to convert this field into float or double.
