Insurance for Contractors

Question

Hello to everyone.

I have taken my first contracting position and I will need to prepare for the cost of Health insurance. Can anyone supply any good suggestions as to who/how to go about getting a good rate for insurance?

Check out AETNA rates. I pay about $125 per month for $20 co-pay. It's not that bad. If you don't get sick too much you can even take $30 or $40 co-pay. BUT if you get sick too much or have past history you may try co-pay $10. Good luck.

Are you looking for a family insurance or single? I've AETNA and its OK as long as you do not have too much prescriptions.
