The Language Integrated Query (LINQ) is microsoft framework feature. Which allows the developers to query from an object xml and sql. The developers can write the query to retrieve the from the objects/xml/sql and no need to write the logic to iterate or do it in the back end. - LINQ to object - LINQ to XML - LINQ to SQL For example in an array you are having lot of elements. but you want to filter the data on some criteria. Then it has to be looped in order to get the results.
