It is unusual to add a gridview to a reportviewer because usually anything like that uses subreports. So you can probahbly use a subreport instead of a GridView.

A report in a ReportViewer can be exported; it is not difficult. I helped someone develop the capability to export multiple reports to multiple sheets in an Excel workbook but unless you need to do something complicated such as that then it should be easy to provide an export capability.

Hello Everyone Thanks. I would like to include GridView inside ReportViewer especially for the functionalities of exporting to Excel and pdf . The reason why I am not using SSRS for reporting is license . Also using Response.Write() for exporting the gridview content to excel leads to transfer the HTML content of aspx gridview to excel. So the numeric values are treated as characters in exported excel. For these problems I am planning to use ReportViewer. yup as suthish replied you can do export to excel or otherwise if you want to directly take printout of this gridview then using javascript window.print() you can take print out too....

but why u need to convert that gridview? because when u take ReportViewer there is facility to check our report in pdf or excel format so i guess there is no need to take gridview in reportviewer and again convert it to show in excel/pdf....
