Is there any specific format available for entering date in my textbox for windows application?

i want enter date in my textbox..In my application i entering date like this 24August07..

but i want to know is there any spcific format available for enter date in vb.net for windows application..

can we validate date in vb.net(windows application)?

By default it will follow the short date format specified in the regional and language options setting of your pc. Below is a c# sample.
