Is validation controls are worked client side or serverside?

Hi Is validation controls are worked client side or serverside? If these are work at client side i disabled javascript code in all my browsers? How they work? At that time what can i do? Thanks inadvance

If you validate the controls using Javascript that is called client side validation.. if you use asp.Net controls those are Server side validation controls. if we use Javascript for validation..validations are done before page request happens... if we use asp validation controls validations will happen after page request sent it to the server.
