Is WPF in maintenance mode?

Hi All I had recently gone through an article in quora.com stating that Microsoft will be stop support to WPF and concentrate more on UWP. Then its a tdious process to modify the existing code to UWP. Is that in the near feature? Kindly share your concerns! Regards Amresh S.

WPF is going to be active for quite long time because 1. Widely used for enterprise applications not everyone prefers web. Existing very large projects can't be migrated (busniess wont break stability of application). Remember even VB6 is still very much active. 2. WPF has almost every feature needed for desktop based application plus they can run on most of windows machine (even on XP with service pack) 3. UWP means Windows 8(flop version) or Windows 10 not many use these OS still. 4. WPF based app investment is quite heavy in terms of money skills. Just moving to new technologies is not that easy. 5. WPF is matured enough might not get major features added but existing features are good enough for building applications.
