Javascript function at client side

Hi How can we know the error in a java script function of a web page which is working fine in IE but not in Firefox at client side. Please let me know..

Hi There are lot of ways. But your issue is clear that some method or property is IE. l 1) you can use the error handling in javascript. try { adddlert(Welcome guest!); } catch(err) { txt=There was an error on this page.

; alert(txt); } } 2) You can use the firebug - inspect element. There you can view the javascript and put the break point. You can refresh the page and debug in the firebug like in visual IDE 3) If you use the firebug it will show the number of errors in the right hand bottom of the page. No of errors in red. You can click and view the details 4) You can place the break point in the visual studio ID and run the page. There you can check line by line.
