Why JIT called JIT? (Any specific reasin to call just in time compiler)

Hi friend, your questions are interesting.. seem you are newbie and about to jump into .net.. its good here is your answer... In order to become independent from languages, Microsoft divides the code, in which an application is written, from the code, which the Common Language Runtime finally has to execute through the JIT Compiler. All compilers of .NET-compatible languages compile the instructions from the program source code into an intermediate language - the Microsoft or Common Intermediate Language. some extra info about JIT is down here.. Two translation variants are available: a) Econo-JIT: Offers a preferably fast, but not optimal translation, whose results are again deleted after execution. b) JIT: The task is being stored in cache highly optimated so that during the next execution the program only has to compare if this version had already been realized.
