Joining two tables

Please see the below image Can anyone help me to combine both tables ? We can't use union because datatypes are different. The result should be as 5 rows. Thanks in advance

I guess below sequence of query will work for you create table # Temp (Firstcol int  Secondcol varchar (20)) Insert Into # Temp select * from table1 Insert Into # Temp select * from table2 select * from # Temp
