Is C# sharp Programming languae the most effecient if not which other programming language is efficient and how many companies actually use that particular languae

Although C# is an efficient programming language as regards performance processor and memory requirements it is not as efficient as some other languages such as C or C++. However these languages are not as safe or as easy to develop with as C# and so in effect you're trading off these features for the extra efficiency. It's impossible to say how many companies use any particular language though there's a 'rough and ready' gauge of language popularity on the Tiobe site: http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html It will be seen that C and C++ are still popular despite the fact that they are now old languages having been invented in the early 1970s and 1980s respectively.
