Volt Technical Resources is currently looking for a Lead Developer for managing a team in Bothell, Washington which consists of internet solutions for engineering, developing and leading support of systems supporting the multi-channel business line of one of the company’s top national clients.
Project features include: Windows 2003, Microsoft SQL Server, Commerce Server, BizTalk, Content Management Server and Application Center. Projects will span a variety of technologies for server clients as well as internal product developments.
This is a 3-6 month contract to start off with, which could potentially go from a contract position to a direct hire position.
General Job Duties:
- Leading project definition, scoping and boxing legacy system issues.
- Assisting Client Development Managers with workload anticipation and customer expectation management.
- Managing direct reports who will assist the candidate in developing custom applications and implementing the solutions their team designs.
- Delegate work assignments, mentor development staff in technique and perform code reviews.
- Work closely with Client staff, Client Development Managers, Program Management and Development staff.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing web solutions.
- Create written technical design specifications from functional requirements.
- Provide architectural input on program and system designs.
- Minimum 3 years experience using ASP.NET in at least 6 projects.
- Fluency in VB.NET, as well as familiarity and comfort programming in C#.
- 2+ years experience leading other Developers on programming tasks.
- 3+ years experience with n-tier web-based design and development on Windows platforms.
- 3+ years experience with OOP design methodologies.
- 5+ years experience writing SQL statements, stored procedures and views.
- Total comfort using ADO.NET.
- Complete comfort unit testing your code; NUnit experience is helpful.
- Bachelor's degree in area of specialty or equivalent experience.

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- An innate focus on delivering appropriately targeted solutions on-time and on-budget, every time.
