Lightweight c# editor not as large an app as visual studio

Question

Hi Can any body suggest me lightweight c# editor? Which should be easy to install and easy to change c# files. I do not need a complete development environment I need a simple tool through which I can change the c# files one at a time. Thanks Manish

Look at MonoDevelop . I don't know anything about it except what the web site says. The advantage I assume is that it knows how to do the builds but I don't know about that. The other thing I would be concerned about is if the editor works in a manner that Linux programmers are accustomed to but not me. I don't know if that is true. Something else I found is SharpDevelop  but I don't know anything about it either. I am interested in your comments about those. I don't know if Netbeans is light enough for you; it might be but it is useful. I am sure that there are many other possibilities but those are the only ones I can suggest currently.
