Location of the Windows Forms

Question

I changed the coordinates in the right bottom corner of the Windows Forms properties but location of the form is not changing. How to change the location of the form?

Are you creating this program using Visual Studio? If you are then the best place to set the Location property is in the Properties Box which when you click on the Form in the designer will list all its properties.

The Express edition for Windows Desktop is fine. As long as you use the Windows Forms template programming such an application is much the same as using the 'paid for' editions. The Form is split into two partial classes which are in separate files. The VS designer writes its user interface code to one of them and the other is for you to add your own code including event handlers for controls.

I can understand now because as I am using VS expression edition default code for Windows Forms is a partial one. Therefore I couldn't find this.Location = new Point(20 20); code. I wish to know which version of VS is most suitable to do USING GUI OBJECTS AND THE VISUAL STUDIO IDE USING CONTROLS and HANDLING EVENTS.

Yes that's right - it is at the bottom right corner of the screen by default just under Solution Explorer.

The book says that ' The bottom-right corner of the screen contains a Properties window that holds a list of the Form's properties '. This is what confused me.

The Location property of a Form represents the screen coordinates of its upper left hand corner. To change it do something like this: this.Location = new Point(20 20);
