logout

Question

hey guys can anybody help create a logout button/link because I created my own login but the logout I tried but when I press the browser back button it just goes back to the last page I am using Firefox.Any help guys? Thanks Regards Kiran

Thats going to depend on what you are doing for security. In the one of the projects I worked on I set the authentication mode to Forms. That would ensure that when a user is not login asp.net will always redirect to that location. If you go with that you have to make sure you create the authTicket // Create the authetication ticket FormsAuthenticationTicket authTicket = new FormsAuthenticationTicket(1 // version username DateTime.Now DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(120) false groups); Other solutions are inheriting from Page class and checking user session on pageload if not log redirect to your login page. This ofcourse will mean that all your pages will need to inherit from your custom page.
