Master Page Error - Ambiguous match found.

Question

Hi all I am getting the following error - Server Error in '/' Application. Parser Error Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately. Parser Error Message: Ambiguous match found. Source Error: Line 1: Line 2: Line 3: --%> Source File: /MasterPages/RiddhiHomeMasterPage.Master Line: 1 Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version:4.0.30319.18055 ------------- I have checked all css classes nothing is repeating ... How to solve this ?? I tried making a new master page all together and again inheriting in in aspx page. PLease help ! ------- Master Page File -

Hi... But after I add this text how to make it scroll ?? How to use marquee tag ?? If I use in aspx page I get an error - Element not supported. And ignoring this error if I run the web page the width of the element increases... How do I apply marquee to this span1.Innertext ?? Any idea ?

For string in span I have done - var span_ann = new HtmlGenericControl(span_ann); span_ann.InnerText = Announcements; ------- span_ann is the ID of span. ----------- Now How to add test 1 test 2 in span_ann in marquee tag ??

yes you can done it on span_ann but you have to concante data on span_ann or you have to use data control to show text as you told on label your text come below

But when we add id and runat attributes that becomes a server side control by itself. Then we can access it in aspx.cs page also.... If I use asp controls then the design part is vanishing.

I cannot do that... If I use label the text comes below Current Design - Announcements -------------- Output Announcements > test 1 test 2 Happy Birthday Abc ----------------- I want result as - String - Announcement > should stay as it is. String - test 1 test 2 should move in marquee. String Happy Birthday should stay as it is. String Abc should move in marquee. ------ How to achieve this ??

I cannot add repeater. I have to use InnerText property of div and span... I have to display text values...that is it....

copy paste on entire pages causes errors Now here you can check cs page public partial class name should be same as in aspx RiddhiHomeMasterPage.master .cs Inherits=Aviation.MasterPages.RiddhiHomeMasterPage %>

Hi.. Yes... I have copied-pasted 1 entire master page and just re-named the page name... That's all !

May be you have just copy a. Masterpage and paste instead of createing new page Check cs page namespacename and in page directory in aspx has same name.or not

This error occurs if same namr is being used fir twk different files or controls please check
